Christmas Angel Project

For years, Peter Conti and his wife and family supported the Christmas Angel project in Fountain Hills, AZ.  But when the volunteers providing usual year-round assistance had to resign, that meant that the Christmas Angel program would also cease. 

Peter’s family announced, “we refuse to let anything take Christmas from these kids,” and have single-handedly conducted the Fountain Hills Christmas Angel project for the past five years. 

Since 2017, this group has worked with the local school district and have supplied a Merry Christmas to the neediest children in that community.    

Peter and his volunteer group compile applications, distribute Angel information and gather the gifts from donors.  Finally, they pack and distribute the gifts to the children.

This is an enormous effort requiring organization and dedication.  On December 17, 2022, these volunteers distributed Christmas gifts to 130 children, representing 60 families!  Fountain Hills community donors are generous which means that some children received bicycles; others received gift cards in their packages besides the usual toys.

The Southwest Divisional Service Extension Department and The Salvation Army thank the Fountain Hills, AZ Christmas Angel Project coordinator and volunteers for showing their love to the children of Fountain Hills!
